About the District

The Worcester, Hampden, Hampshire & Middlesex state senate District is made up of twenty eight towns from the New Hampshire border down to the Connecticut border touching four counties. It is the second largest district by geographic size in the Commonwealth.

The citizens of this district are fiercely independent, with all 28 towns having voted for the Republican candidate in the 2010 Governor's election and Scott Brown's two U.S. Senate elections. Governor Charlie Baker won this district by an overwhelming margin in his 2014 election.
